Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior- or growth-stage finance lead to own core accounting operations including the general ledger, AP/AR, and billing, while delivering timely financial reporting for leadership and investors.

You will manage revenue accounting, commissions, and cost analysis in a fast-moving environment, collaborating with Sales Ops and other functions to build scalable processes and controls.

Qualifications

• Strong accounting foundation with experience owning or contributing to monthly close, general ledger, AP/AR, billing, and financial reporting.
• Experience operating across multiple areas of accounting rather than a single function.
• Ability to work hands-on and independently in a fast-growth environment where processes are being built.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records while managing multiple priorities.
• Experience cross-functional with Sales, People, Operations, and leadership.
• Ability to identify operational gaps and build scalable accounting processes and internal controls.
• Clear communication translating accounting/financial information for non-finance stakeholders.
• Experience with Rippling, Ramp, Carta, or similar systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own core accounting operations across the general ledger, AP, AR, billing, and monthly/quarterly close.
• Maintain accurate and timely financial reporting for leadership, Board, and investor reporting.
• Own revenue accounting and billing operations, including recurring and one-time revenue treatment, invoicing, and revenue reporting.
• Partner with Sales Operations on commission calculations and payouts.
• Support analysis of cost of sales and gross margin.
• Manage finance systems and processes, including Ramp, Rippling payroll, banking workflows, and other tooling.
• Develop scalable processes and internal controls to protect assets and ensure records accuracy.
• Support tax, audit, and compliance activities with external providers and auditors.
• Support banking/treasury activities, venture debt administration, contract management, Carta, insurance, and Board prep.
• Partner with fractional CFO and teams on strategic finance initiatives.

• Own core accounting operations across the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, collections, payroll, and monthly and quarterly close
• Maintain accurate and timely financial reporting for leadership, Board, and investor reporting
• Own revenue accounting and billing operations, including recurring and one-time revenue treatment, customer invoicing and portals, collections, and revenue reporting across direct and partner/channel sales
• Partner with Sales Operations on commission calculations and payouts
• Support analysis of cost of sales and gross margin
• Manage finance systems and processes, including Ramp, expense reimbursement, travel and expense policies, Rippling payroll, banking workflows, and other financial tooling
• Develop scalable processes and internal controls that protect company assets and maintain accurate financial records
• Support tax, audit, and compliance activities with external tax providers and auditors
• Support banking and treasury activities, venture debt administration, contract management, Carta, insurance, and Board preparation
• Partner closely with the fractional CFO and teams across the company on strategic finance and operational initiatives

Requirements
