Who we’re looking for

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our growing Finance team. This role will play a vital part in helping us build the foundation for a scalable accounting function. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who is eager to roll up their sleeves, develop broad technical skills, and grow alongside a mission‑driven company. Your role involves close collaboration with our teams in North America and APAC, and cross‑functional collaboration with Operations, Marketing, and Product.

The ideal candidate for this role has a background in accounting and has one to two years of accounting experience with a passion for continued education. Major job duties include maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledgers; preparing and analyzing account reconciliations; and performing operating expense and cost analyses.

What You’ll Be Doing

Accounting
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and year‑end financial closes, including assigned journal entries, balance‑sheet account reconciliations, accruals, and overall maintenance of operational management accounts
  • Support the cleanup and conversion of global books from cash to accrual basis, ensuring compliance with US GAAP across all regions for consolidated financial reporting
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally to ensure correct expense coding and vendor classification
  • Execute mid‑level general‑ledger account reconciliations, accurate reporting, and data verification, enabling management to analyze options and make financial decisions aligned with company objectives
  • Assist with the implementation of a potential new ERP and P2P systems, and global accounting process standardization
  • Review bills for proper approval and documentation and manage accounts payables
Tools & Process Improvement
  • Maintain and improve desktop procedures and financial documentation
  • Assist with the ongoing automation of our operational processes
  • Help drive the creation of standardized accounting procedures across all regions
  • Continuously identify and develop solutions for process improvement
  • Assist with ad‑hoc projects
  • Additional duties as assigned
Minimum requirements for success
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or related field
  • 3+ years experience in corporate finance or accounting.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, detail‑oriented mindset, and a high sense of urgency
  • Xero, NetSuite, Workday, Intacct, Quickbooks, or similar ERP experience preferred
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Sheets
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Team player with a positive attitude and a fit in our fast‑paced, inclusive culture
  • Located in New York City or the Bay Area (Hybrid schedule, 1–2 days a week)
