Kforce Inc. in Saint Louis, MO is partnering with a client to recruit a Regulatory Staff Accountant who supports regulatory filings, financial reporting, accounting operations, and analysis to ensure accurate records and compliant submissions.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with 2–4 years of progressive accounting experience, strong ERP and Excel skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with discretion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of progressive accounting experience; Regulated industry experience preferred.
• Experience with ERP or financial reporting systems; Regulatory reporting or audit experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, reconciliations, journal entries, financial reporting, and month-end close.
• Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and handle confidential financial information with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and support periodic regulatory reports, filings, and supporting documentation, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounting activities, including account reconciliations and supporting schedules
• Research and resolve discrepancies across accounting, operational, and reporting systems

This role ensures accurate financial records and regulatory filings while assisting with account reconciliations, data analysis, audits, and regulatory examinations. Key Responsibilities:

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
