We’re looking for a detail-oriented, analytical Senior Accountant who is passionate about financial accuracy, thrives in fast-paced environments, and is energized by working cross-functionally to drive business results. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in our accounting operations, supporting month-end close, financial reporting, and compliance activities. This role is hands-on and vital to ensuring the integrity of our financial records while supporting strategic decision-making. You'll collaborate closely with the Controller, CFO, and other departments to uphold operational excellence and support ongoing growth initiatives.

A wealth management technology platform that is in the process of scaling rapidly. We partner with Financial Advisors, Registered Investment Advisory (RIA) firms, and Broker-Dealer (BD) firms to provide innovative technology solutions for the wealth management space. Our mission is to empower financial services firms, advisors and their clients with cutting-edge technology and exceptional service.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute full-cycle monthly and quarterly close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements in compliance with U.S. GAAP.
• Review general ledger activity and ensure accurate classification and recording of transactions.
• Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and customer billing processes as needed.
• Conduct variance analysis and provide insights into key financial trends and performance drivers.
• Assist with external audit preparation, including coordination with auditors and preparation of audit schedules.
• Participate in special projects such as accounting integrations for acquired entities or system implementations.
• Support regulatory compliance and internal controls documentation and improvements.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to support financial planning, reporting, and process enhancements.
• Collaborate with the Controller and CFO on reporting packages, board materials, and strategic analyses.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting operations and reporting accuracy.

Qualifications, skills, and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CPA track strongly preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience; public accounting and/or fintech/insurance industry experience is a plus.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and internal control frameworks.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with QuickBooks or other accounting software is a plus.
• Proven ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with M&A accounting or entity consolidations is a plus.
• A high degree of integrity, initiative, and a continuous improvement mindset.
• This is a full-time, W2 role based in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not available.
• Candidates must be local to the Scottsdale/Phoenix area. Relocation is not an option. 100% onsite is required.
