Job summary

Culfoundry Financial Services (CFS) is seeking a seasoned Cost Accountant in Saint Paul, MN to drive cost accuracy and inventory integrity in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. The role interfaces with Production, Supply Chain, and Quality teams, providing financial insights critical to margins and cost control.

You will prepare journal entries, support month-end closes, and analyze variances in manufacturing costs, collaborating with operations to improve data quality and cost models across

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of accounting experience, ideally within manufacturing
• Strong understanding of GAAP, cost accounting, and inventory processes
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
• Analyze manufacturing costs, variances, and production data to improve cost accuracy
• Partner with operations to monitor inventory, support cycle counts, and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain and refine standard cost models across raw materials, WIP, and finished goods
