Job summary

CFS, based in Minneapolis, is seeking an entry-level Staff Accountant to support cost accounting and inventory processes. This role offers hands-on involvement in month-end close and financial reporting, with clear mentorship and professional development.

You will assist with AP/AR, GL activities, and variance analysis, helping build foundational GAAP knowledge within a manufacturing finance context. A strong education foundation and internship experience are valued as you grow within accounting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or pursuing).
• Internship or early experience in accounting or finance.
• Basic understanding of GAAP principles.

Responsibilities

• Support AP/AR processing and general ledger activities.
• Assist with month-end close, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Help maintain accurate cost and inventory data and support variance analysis.
• Prepare documentation, schedules, and audit support materials.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accurate financial reporting.
