Job summary

Action Target, a Provo, UT based global industry leading business, is seeking a skilled Senior Accountant to be a key contributor to the finance and accounting team. You will thrive in a dynamic, detail‑driven environment and report to the Assistant Controller.

The role covers revenue/expense recognition, monthly closes, cost accounting, ERP optimization, and coordination with outsourced tax and audit partners. 3–5 years experience and a Bachelor's in accounting are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• Three to five years of related experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, processes and internal controls.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Manufacturing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Record revenue and expense transactions and manage GL, AR, AP and fixed assets.
• Coordinate monthly and annual closing procedures.
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
• Support accounting team with processes and internal controls.
• Assist with production and review of monthly financial statements.
• Mentor team members.

What will you be doing?

A Provo, UT based global industry leading business is looking for a skilled, professional, and driven Senior Level Accountant. This individual will be a key contributor to the finance and accounting team. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, detail oriented, dynamic, a thought leader and have the ability to think outside the box. Additionally, the ideal candidate will need to excel in an environment with private equity investors, manufacturing and service revenues and cost centers, sophisticated ERP setup, and consolidation of multiple subsidiaries. This role will report to the Assistant Controller.

Some of your day-to-day tasks?

• Assists in recording transactions related to and in ensuring the accuracy of accounting of revenue and expense recognition, billing, cost accounting, cash management, GL, AR, AP and fixed assets
• Helps coordinate and conduct the monthly and annual closing procedures
• Completing monthly bank reconciliations
• Assists in providing problem solving, application of accounting principles and issue resolution across the accounting team of 6 to 8 members
• Assists in the monitoring, maintenance, documentation and enhancement of the accounting policies, procedures and internal controls and accounting team efficiencies
• Provides guidance for accounting/finance tools and system
• Cost accounting activities
• Engages with outsourced functions (tax, audit and transfer pricing)
• Assists in the oversight and filing of tax compliance matters (Fed & State Income Taxes, Sales & Use Taxes and Foreign Tax Obligations)
• Mentors team members
• Assists with the production and review of monthly financial statements and reports

What do you need to be able to do?

• Strong understanding of accounting principles, processes and internal controls
• Solid experience working with ERP systems
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including verbal, written, and social interaction;
• A strong team player
• Experience within a manufacturing company a plus
• Three to five years of related experience
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
