Atrium Staffing is seeking a Senior Accountant for a role based in Princeton, NJ. The successful candidate will oversee general accounting, month-end close, and financial analysis to support strategic decisions.

Requirements include public accounting experience, strong GAAP knowledge, proficient accounting software and advanced Excel, and solid internal controls. Bachelor’s in Accounting; CPA preferred. ERP experience is desirable. Competitive salary offered.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze financial data, identify trends, and support strategic insights.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with standards and internal controls.
• Assist in developing and implementing financial policies, procedures, and systems to enhance efficiency.
• Prepare and review financial reports including budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
• Manage and mentor junior accounting staff to foster growth.
• Stay updated with regulations and industry trends and implement best practices.
• Support external audits and liaise with auditors as needed.

$100k - $115k

Position Overview:

As the Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing various accounting functions, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, and providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making. Your experience in financial analysis, reporting, and compliance will contribute to the overall success of our company.

Required Experience/Skills for the Senior Accountant:

• Public accounting experience is required.
• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
• Proficient in using accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Solid understanding of internal controls and compliance requirements.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
• Previous experience with ERP systems is highly desirable.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Senior Accountant:

• Active CPA is preferred.
