Job summary

Our client, Vaco Recruiter Services, seeks an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee manufacturing financial operations and turn plant floor data into actionable insights. You will analyze production costs, manage inventory valuations, and partner with plant operations to drive cost efficiency.

Key responsibilities include cost accounting, inventory control, month-end close, budgeting, and supporting audits. ERP experience and GAAP proficiency are required; bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2+ years of accounting experience, with 2+ years strictly in manufacturing.
• CPA, CMA, or progress toward them is highly desirable.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (MS Dynamics 365 or GP).
• Strong GAAP knowledge, data analysis, and cross-functional communication.
• Bilingual Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Cost Accounting: Maintain standard cost systems and analyze variances.
• Inventory Control: Reconcile raw materials and finished goods ledgers.
• Month-End Close: Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and plant financial statements.
• Operational Analysis: Partner with production managers to identify waste and optimize yield.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in developing annual plant budgets and monthly forecasts.
• Audit & Compliance: Coordinate physical inventory counts and support audits.
