Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions represents a growing manufacturing and distribution company in Park Ridge, IL, seeking a Senior Accountant to support financial reporting, month-end close, and inventory accounting.

You will partner with operations and supply chain, prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, analyze results, and assist with budgeting, audits, and process improvements. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of progressive accounting experience and a solid GAAP foundation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment is required.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
• Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, lookups).
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, NetSuite, JD Edwards, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, or similar.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

Our client, a growing manufacturing and distribution company located in Park Ridge, IL, is seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant to join its accounting team. This role will be responsible for supporting financial reporting, month-end close, account reconciliations, inventory accounting, and operational analysis. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting foundation, experience within a manufacturing or distribution environment, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience within a manufacturing or distribution environment required.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
• Public accounting experience is a plus.
• Experience with inventory, costing, and manufacturing operations.
