Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review capital call calculations and LP/GP notifications.
• Prepare LP capital call notices and export from CRM systems.
• Prepare calculations for late admit interest and management fee reductions.
• Coordinate fund distributions, including carry distribution calculations and notices.
• Prepare extensive LP reports and cash management calculations.
• Assist onboarding of new funds and interact with tax team for tax distributions.
• Work with audit teams to ensure timely SOC 1 deliverables.
• Maintain upward communication on timelines and issues.

We are currently offering a Senior Accountant position (operations focused) on our Fund Operations team. This position will report directly to the Senior Accounting Manager to ensure accounting-related investor communications are calculated and delivered to our clients’ investors (LPs) accurately and efficiently. This is a unique role with the opportunity to learn the back-office & LP-facing side of various venture capital clients, prior to financial accounting.

Essential Job Functions:

• Prepare and review capital call calculations, supporting files and LP/GP email notifications
• Prepare and review LP capital call notices and perform export from Client Relationship Management system
• Prepare and review calculations of late admit interest, management fee reduction allocations
• Fund Distributions
  • Prepare distribution proposals, including carry distribution calculations, for Senior Accounting Manager/Partner review
  • Prepare distribution allocation calculations, supporting files and LP/GP email notifications
  • Prepare distribution notice investment write-ups and perform export of notices from Client Relationship Management system
  • Track proceeds of various returns on investments and coordinate with Fund Accounting Team/outside brokers on timing
  • Coordinate with Tax Team to determine any required tax distributions or withholdings
• Prepare extensive special LP reports for release alongside standard reporting
• Cash Management
  • Prepare recycling calculations on a monthly basis or as requested by client
• Assist with the onboarding of new funds to required files as needed
• SOC 1 Report
  • Work with audit team(s) to help them understand key processes, provide them with all requested support and ensure deadlines are appropriately met.

  • Ensure Senior Accounting Manager is in the loop with any and all complexities or issues

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• Minimum of 3-4 years of experience, preferably in Big Four public accounting
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• Elevated level of demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel

• Must be an excellent communicator, both internally and externally facing
• Must be an excellent multitasker and time manager, with a strong ability to prioritize work as we typically issue groups of investor communications each week

• High level of demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel, and financial modeling

• Experience in Salesfore, Allvue preferred but not required
