We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations, including general ledger management, financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to management for informed decision-making.
  • General Ledger Management:
  • Oversee the maintenance of the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely posting of journal entries.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Month-End & Year-End Close:
  • Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately.
  • Prepare supporting schedules for auditors and assist in the audit process.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting:
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis to support strategic planning.
  • Tax Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
  • Prepare and file tax returns, and coordinate with external tax advisors as needed.
  • Internal Controls & Process Improvement:
  • Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.
  • Mentor and train junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Provide guidance on complex accounting issues and support professional development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
