Job summary

Atrium is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage operational accounting for its multi-location hospitality operations. The role ensures accurate financial reporting, oversees reconciliations, and supports month-end close while partnering with internal teams to maintain compliance.

This position requires 5+ years of accounting experience, strong knowledge of Great Plains (Dynamics GP), and solid Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Experience with bank reconciliations, balances, cash activity and financial reporting.

Job description

The Senior Accountant will play a key role in managing operational accounting functions for a multi-location hospitality organization. This position ensures accurate financial reporting, oversees reconciliations, and supports month-end close processes. The role requires strong collaboration with internal teams to maintain compliance and improve financial controls. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily revenue, cash, credit card, and banking reconciliations, ensuring discrepancies are researched and resolved promptly.
• Manage accounts receivable activities, including invoicing, aging reports, collections follow-up, and reconciliation of subledgers to the general ledger.
• Support month-end close by preparing journal entries, completing balance sheet reconciliations, and reviewing P&Ls for variances.
• Prepare and maintain financial and compliance-related reporting, including sales tax workpapers, treasury reports, and payroll reconciliations.
• Partner with operations and internal teams to strengthen cash controls, resolve chargebacks, and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Required Experience/Skills

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including month-end close, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Strong Microsoft Great Plains (Dynamics GP) experience is required.
• Experience with bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, cash activity, and financial reporting.
• Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience/Skills

• Restaurant365 (R365) experience is a strong plus.
• Hospitality, restaurant, retail, or multi-location accounting experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience with hospitality POS and accounting systems.
• Experience with advanced ERP systems (Great Plains, Oracle), third-party delivery platforms, and payment processors.
• Multi-property or multi-entity accounting experience.
• Experience with sales and use tax processes across multiple states.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA or progress toward CPA certification is a plus.
• Continuing education in accounting standards and compliance preferred.
• Advanced coursework in financial reporting or auditing is beneficial.
• Familiarity with GAAP principles and internal control frameworks.
