Job summary

Atrium Staffing client seeks a Senior Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and month-end close across multiple hospitality entities in Orlando, FL.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, strong Great Plains skills, and advanced Excel capabilities. Experience with Restaurant365 is highly preferred, along with multi-unit hospitality exposure.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Strong Microsoft Great Plains (Dynamics GP) experience is required.
• Experience with bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, cash activity, and financial reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills with PivotTables and VLOOKUPs.
• Experience in hospitality, restaurant, retail, or multi-location environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily revenue, cash activity, reconciliations between POS systems, payment processors, and bank activity.
• Manage accounts receivable including invoicing, aging, collections, and subledger reconciliation.
• Assist month-end close with journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare and maintain financial reporting, tax workpapers, payroll reconciliations, and schedules.
• Collaborate with operations to strengthen cash controls and ensure timely financial reporting.

Client Overview:

Our client is a well-established hospitality organization with a diverse portfolio of restaurant and hotel operations. They are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close activities across multiple hospitality entities.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$80k - $90k + DOE

Position Overview:

The Senior Accountant will supportoperational accounting functions across a multi-location hospitality environment. This position will oversee daily revenue and cash activity, bank and balance sheet reconciliations, accounts receivable, treasury functions, and month-end close processes. The ideal candidate will have strong Microsoft Great Plains experience, excellent Excel skills, and prior accounting experience within hospitality, restaurant, retail, or another multi-unit operating environment. Experience with R365 is highly preferred.

Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:

• Oversee daily revenue, cash, credit card, and banking reconciliations, researching and resolving discrepancies between POS systems, payment processors, and bank activity.


• Manage accounts receivable activities, including invoicing, aging reports, collections follow-up, event-related billing, and reconciliation of subledgers to the general ledger.


• Support month-end close by preparing journal entries, completing balance sheet reconciliations, reviewing P&Ls, and identifying unusual variances or classification issues.


• Prepare and maintain financial and compliance-related reporting, including sales tax workpapers, treasury reports, payroll reconciliations, gift card activity, and other operational accounting schedules.


• Partner with operations and internal teams to strengthen cash controls, resolve chargebacks and payment issues, monitor deposits, and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Required Experience/Skills for the Senior Accountant:

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including month-end close, journal entries, and account reconciliations.


• Strong Microsoft Great Plains (Dynamics GP) experience is required.


• Experience with bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, cash activity, and financial reporting.


• Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.


• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Senior Accountant:

• Restaurant365 (R365) experience is a strong plus.


• Hospitality, restaurant, retail, or multi-location accounting experience is strongly preferred.


• Experience with hospitality POS and accounting systems.


• Experience with advanced ERP systems (Great Plains, Oracle), third-party delivery platforms, and payment processors.


• Multi-property or multi-entity accounting experience.


• Experience with sales and use tax processes across multiple states.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
