LeoForce in Orlando, FL, is seeking a Senior Accountant to lead accounting across multiple locations within the hotel and restaurant sector. You will manage AP/AR, GL, taxes, and the month-end close, ensuring accurate financial reporting in line with GAAP.

Strong preference for CPA and hospitality industry experience. The role requires 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, proficiency in MRI and Great Plains, and a keen eye for detail.

• Oversee accruals and prepaids; manage multi-location reporting.

Senior Accountant - Hotel and Restaurants

Job Details

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in the vibrant Hotel and Restaurant industry, where you will be a key player in the Accounting and Finance department. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial health of our multi-location operations, ensuring all financial transactions are accurate, and providing timely and accurate financial reports.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
• Handle month-end close procedures, including the preparation and posting of journal entries.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and inter-company account reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable financial rules and regulations, including GAAP.
• Oversee the preparation of Accruals and Prepaids.
• Manage accounting reporting for multiple locations, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
• Utilize and maintain accounting systems including MRI and Great Plains.
• Work closely with restaurant operations to resolve cash, deposits, and chargeback issues.
• Assist with annual budget preparation and implementation.
• Collaborate with external auditors, providing necessary information and preparing requested documentations.
• Maintain and implement internal control safeguards for the receipt of revenue, costs, and both team and organizational budgets and actual expenditures.
• Continually improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience.
• CPA certification is preferred.
• Experience in the hotel and restaurant industry is a strong plus.
• Proficiency in accounting software, specifically MRI and Great Plains.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP.
• Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a customer service focus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
