Job summary

MyStaff is partnering with a client to recruit a Senior Technical Accountant with a strong background in insurance statutory accounting. This hybrid role supports complex financial reporting, regulatory filings, and audit activities within a growing organization.

You will collaborate with finance leadership, auditors, and regulatory partners to strengthen controls, reconcile data, and ensure accuracy of SAP-based statements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of insurance accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of NAIC SAP.
• Experience supporting statutory audits and regulatory reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills with pivot tables, lookups, and complex workbooks.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Review quarterly and annual statutory financial reporting.
• Research and interpret SAP guidance.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and support quarterly and annual statutory financial reporting
• Research and interpret Statutory Accounting Principles (SAP) guidance
• Assist with statutory audits, regulatory filings, and state examinations
• Analyze and reconcile complex financial data, investments, and general ledger activity
• Identify reporting discrepancies and help improve accounting processes and controlsPartner with finance leadership, auditors, and internal teams on technical accounting matters
