Responsibilities

• Support statutory accounting for multiple insurance carriers.
• Prepare statutory financial reports.
• Assist with internal and external audit requests.

• Prepare billings to reinsurers.
• Provide technical guidance to senior leaders.

What You Will Be Doing

• Support statutory accounting for multiple insurance carriers, including month end journal entries (gross and net of reinsurance) using NetSuite
• Maintain balance sheet account reconciliations
• Prepare statutory (yellow book) financial reports
• Record Accounts Payable and ensure all regulatory reporting and payment deadlines are met
• Record STAT to GAAP conversion entries
• Assist with internal and external audit requests
• Prepare billings to reinsurers
• Provide technical guidance to senior leaders
• Perform financial analytics to explain fluctuations and uncover insights
• Identify process improvement opportunities to increase efficiency
• Actively communicate with reinsurers, auditors, and external partners with professionalism and accuracy
• Serve as an active team member, assisting and reviewing work of staff accountants as needed
• Cross train team members and support knowledge sharing
• Participate in special projects, including automation and streamlining initiatives within accounting and finance

What You Bring
