Overview

Senior Project Accountant - Construction Accounting. This Jobot Job is hosted by Jon Lopez. Salary $70,000 - $100,000 per year. A Bit About Us: An established and growing multifamily and commercial real estate development company is looking to hire a Senior Project Accountant. The ideal candidate will have deep experience working for a construction GC on projects in the $50M-$100M range.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing all financial aspects of our multifamily construction projects, from start to finish.
• Managing job costing processes, ensuring that all costs are accurately recorded and tracked.
• Preparing and processing invoices, ensuring timely and accurate billing.
• Conducting year-end close procedures, ensuring all financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
• Maintaining the ledger, recording all financial transactions and ensuring accuracy.
• Utilizing Timberline and Viewpoint software to manage and track project finances.
• Managing Work in Progress (WIP) schedules, tracking project progress and costs.
• Handling Time and Material (T&M) billing and change orders, ensuring accurate and timely billing.
• Processing lien waivers, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed and filed.
• Collaborating with project managers and other team members to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency.
• Providing financial reports and updates to senior management, as required.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
• Proven experience with job costing, invoicing, year-end close procedures, and ledger maintenance.
• Experience with Timberline and Viewpoint software.
• Familiarity with WIP schedules, T&M billing, change orders, and lien waivers.
• A strong understanding of the financial aspects of construction projects, particularly multifamily projects.
• Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
