Maven is looking for a highly motivated individual with a background in public or corporate accounting to join the team as a Senior Accountant. You will have the unique opportunity to help build out finance functions, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and play a key role in the accounting team's ability to scale in a high growth environment.

As a Senior Accountant at Maven, you will:

• Support the month end close process including closing entries, account reconciliations and analysis
• Review and prepare balance sheet reconciliations
• Maintain detailed and accurate supporting workpapers
• Oversee operations for expense reimbursements and business purchasing programs
• Assist with tax filings and payments necessary for compliance
• Act as an accounting business partner for various cross-functional departments across the organization
• Provide support with audit requests and deliverables
• Assist in building out operating procedures and controls to support the company’s growth
• Ability to identify opportunities to increase efficiency via process improvements, automation, etc.
• Perform other special projects
  
  

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent
• CPA or working towards CPA
• Minimum three years of progressive work experience
• Proficiency with advanced formulas in Microsoft Excel and Google Suite applications
• Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills, with a sharp focus on details
• Ability and desire to build and cultivate strong relationships with team members and internal
  
  

Preferred Requirements:

• Experience in telehealth or high growth startup
• Experience using Oracle NetSuite and/or Zip P2P
• Big 4 accounting experience
  
  

The base salary range for this role is $98,000 - $115,000 per year. You will also be entitled to receive stock options and benefits. Individual pay decisions are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, and skillset.

Maven embraces a flexible hybrid work model. Our teams primarily operate from the New York Metropolitan area, NY, San Francisco/Bay Area, CA, Seattle, WA, Boston, MA, Chicago, IL, and Washington, D.C. This role is exclusively open to candidates in these locations. For those in our New York City office, we encourage in-person collaboration by requiring team members to work onsite three days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday). For those based in San Francisco/Bay Area, CA, Seattle, WA, Boston, MA, Chicago, IL, and Washington, D.C., we encourage in-person collaboration by requiring team members to attend quarterly Work Together Days within these cities. This policy aims to balance remote work flexibility with the benefits of face-to-face interaction.

This role requires active work authorization in the US.
