Job description

accessiBe is looking for an experienced, energetic and motivated Senior Accountant with a strong background in general ledger accounting.

The Senior Accountant plays a critical role in accessiBe’s accounting operations, monthly close, and is responsible for all aspects of the general ledger processes. This person will also drive positive process improvements to support company growth.

The ideal candidate will have at least four years of combined month-end close experience at a tech/SaaS company with a global presence. This role reports to our Accounting Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with month-end close activities, including preparing and posting accruals, prepaid entries, fixed assets, capitalized software, leases, payroll, commissions, stock-based compensation, and other miscellaneous entries.
  • Prepare month-end account reconciliations, research and resolve issues promptly, and assist in preparing financial statements.
  • Review and approve vendor bills processed by the AP specialist to ensure proper coding to GL accounts and cost centers, and that transactions are posted in the correct accounting periods. Reconcile vendor statements and correct discrepancies.
  • Review and process employee expense reimbursements, ensuring compliance with company policies. Collaborate with credit card holders to ensure transactions are correctly coded and reconciled monthly.
  • Record cash activity into the general ledger, reconcile bank statements, and research/resolve any unreconciled cash transactions promptly and accurately.
  • Prepare monthly cash analysis and forecasts.
  • Prepare monthly flux analysis and explain variances.
  • Support management with special projects, ad-hoc reporting, analysis requests, and other tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • 4 to 6 years of relevant accounting experience in progressively responsible roles
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, ASC 606, and financial statements in multi-entity and multi-currency environments (preferred)
  • Advanced proficiency in spreadsheets (MS Excel & Google Sheets) and experience with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Public accounting experience is preferred; CPA certification is a plus
