• Analyze financial statements and prepare variance analysis with commentary
• Manage general ledger reconciliations and prepare journal entries
• Account for and reconcile intercompany transactions across entities
• Prepare and review COGs and other related expenses
• Support accounting integration and new location expansion
• Lead special projects to improve processes and procedures
• Support the annual audit by preparing schedules and liaising with external auditors

Coda Search is partnering with a Series C consumer goods company headquartered in Brooklyn, NY. The company has rapidly expanded its presence across the US and continues to grow across multiple locations. Joining a five-person accounting team, this role will be pivotal in managing the month-end close, handling intercompany transactions, improving processes, and building efficiencies across the group. Several cash management functions are handled by an outsourced accounting partner, allowing this role to focus on balance sheet and income statement accounts.

What You'll Do:

• Assist and manage the month-end close process, including balance sheet and P&L reconciliations
• Analyze financial statements and prepare variance analysis with supporting commentary
• Manage general ledger reconciliations and prepare journal entries
• Account for and reconcile intercompany transactions across entities
• Prepare and review COGs and other related expenses
• Support accounting integration and new location expansion
• Lead special projects across the group, identifying opportunities to improve processes and procedures
• Support the annual audit by preparing schedules and serving as a liaison with external auditors

Who You Are:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3+ years of accounting experience (consumer goods, CPG, or high-growth startup experience a plus)
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
• NetSuite experience strongly preferred
• Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and brings a "get-it-done" attitude
• Clear communicator and team player who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
