Base pay range

$40.00/hr - $45.00/hr

LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with a Consumer Products/Personal Care company to fill a temporary Senior Accountant position in New York, New York (Midtown East area). This will be an open-ended temporary role with the potential to evolve into permanent. We are searching for a technically strong Accountant that can join a great team with a lot of tenure! Please read on for additional details.

Responsibilities:

• Performing general ledger maintenance including account reconciliation, transactional journal entries, and adjusting journal entries
• Working with senior members of the Accounting team to prepare and analyze financial statements
• Analyzing and presenting financial findings to upper management; Participating in quarterly strategic planning meetings and presenting financials
• Collaborating with Finance team on forecasting expenses and budget preparation
• Working with internal and external auditors through audit processes
• Providing guidance to junior level accounting staff as needed
• Completing Ad-hoc projects as needed

Education Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required

Technical Skills/Soft Skills:

• 5+ years of general accounting experience
• Strong Excel Skills (pivot tables, vlookups) for reporting
• Large ERP system experience is highly desired (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
• Positive attitude and strong communication skills

Schedule:

• 4 days in office, 1 day remote (Midtown East area of Manhattan)

Hours:

• 9 - 5:30 PM (can work up to 40 hours per week, occasional overtime)
