Job summary

UTA seeks a Senior Accountant to join the Revenue Accounting team. You will be responsible for accurate revenue recognition and general accounting in accordance with U.S. GAAP across Sports and Advisory entities.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience; revenue accounting experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills.
• Strong working knowledge of ASC 606 and US GAAP and month-end close processes.

Responsibilities

• Own revenue recognition under ASC 606, accruals, deferred revenue, and related journal entries with documentation.
• Evaluate and document accounting conclusions for contracts; consult with Corporate Technical Accounting as needed.
• Ensure compliance with revenue accounting policies and consistent application.
• Manage accounting for client-reimbursable expenses including reconciliations with Client Accounting teams.
• Record client payments and reconcile KLUTCH client ledger.
• Reconcile monthly balance sheet accounts and analyze fluctuations.
• Support annual financial statement audit; prepare schedules and respond to auditor requests.
• Identify opportunities to improve revenue processes and controls; participate in system implementations and automation initiatives.
• Assist with M&A integration activities and special projects.

• UTA seeks a Senior Accountant to join the Revenue Accounting team. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely revenue recognition and general accounting in accordance with U.S. GAAP across our Sports and Advisory subsidiary businesses
• Own certain aspects for KLUTCH Sports Group (“KLUTCH”) and Advisory, including revenue recognition under ASC 606, accruals, deferred revenue, and related journal entries with complete supporting documentation and schedules
• Evaluate and document accounting conclusions for new/amended or non-standard contracts; consult with the Corporate Technical Accounting Group, where necessary
• Ensure compliance with revenue accounting policies and ensure consistent application
• Manage the accounting for client-reimbursable expenses including reconciliations with Client Accounting teams and gross vs. net presentation
• Record client payment journal entries and reconcile the client ledger for KLUTCH
• Reconcile monthly balance sheet accounts and resolve reconciling items promptly
• Analyze monthly balance sheet and income statement fluctuations and explain key drivers
• Support the annual financial statement audit, including preparing schedules and responding to auditor requests
• Identify opportunities to improve and document revenue processes and controls
• Participate in system implementations and automation initiatives impacting revenue processes
• Prepare ad hoc reports and analysis, as requested
• Assist with M&A integration activities and special projects, as needed
