Job summary

The Film Market is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage overhead reporting and support technical accounting initiatives. You will collaborate with budget coordinators and interact with teams across the company to ensure accurate financial reporting.

This full-time role requires solid US GAAP knowledge, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams, including near Los Angeles and in other locations, with overtime when deadlines demand it.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• The Senior Accountant (SA) will handle various financial reporting and accounting matters for Overhead Reporting. The SA will also assist with finance projects related to technical accounting, process improvements and system implementations.
• The position reports to the Senior Manager, Overhead Reporting, and there will be significant interaction with budget coordinators throughout the organization.

Requirements

• Qualifications/SkillsBasic qualifications:
• 4-5 years of experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
• Strong (and current) technical knowledge of US GAAP
• Minimum of four years of accounting experience
• Intermediate-Advanced skills in Excel
• Proficiency in MS WordDesired skills:
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Detailed-oriented
• Excellent written & oral communication and inter-personal skills
• Understanding this position works closely with employees in Los Angeles and be willing to work similar hours when necessary and overtime to meet deadlines including at month and quarter ends
