Qualifications

Job description

Description

  • Manages HH2 electronic timesheet reporting, including training, adding new jobs, and employee management.
  • Compiles monthly intercompany entry back up, generates spreadsheet, and does monthly entries.
  • Leads the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and Contra accounts.
  • Support CFO in issuing accurate and timely monthly financial reports.
  • Responsible for sales and use tax preparation/filings
  • Prepares bank deposits and generates daily positive pay files.
  • Preparation and communication of payroll items such as Superintendent bonuses, employee advances, etc
  • Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording reoccurring job cost entries and verifies the accuracy of general ledger accounts.
  • Assists the accounting department with various projects and yearly audits, including state sales and use tax audits, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Manages year-end preparation, distribution, and reporting of 1099’s
  • Processes monthly employee paper expense reports for job costing.

Other Duties –

  • Assists with licensing and permitting as necessary.
  • Provides backup with reconciliation of employee credit card statements
  • Assist in cost code and job cost transaction posting reclassifications and corrections as necessary.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s Degree (B.A. / B.S.) from a four-year college or university; CPA preferred.

Experience and/or Training: Two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Construction Industry Experience a strong plus.

Technology/Equipment: Strong Microsoft Suite skills, including Excel, Word, Outlook, etc. Sage Intacct, HH2 time reporting, and Procore experience is a plus.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:

Language Ability:Ability to read and comprehend documents such as general business periodicals and technical procedures. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, staff, and the general public.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Math Ability: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
