Job summary

Leoforce is seeking a dedicated Staff/Senior Accountant to join the finance team. The role focuses on project accounting, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliation, and leveraging Microsoft Dynamics 365 to support financial health.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of accounting experience, strong GAAP knowledge, and excellent analytical and communication skills. CPA certification is highly desirable for career progression.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in accounting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience preparing financial statements and budgets; regulatory reporting where applicable.
• High attention to detail and strong analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work across levels.

Responsibilities

• Record asset, liability, revenue and expense entries by analyzing accounts.
• Balance subsidiary accounts and reconcile transactions; resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain general ledger and prepare trial balances.
• Prepare financial reports and analyze trends.
• Manage monthly, quarterly and year-end closing processes.

This role requires a minimum of 3+ years of experience and and someone looking to develop in their career.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
• Maintain and balance subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions, as well as resolving discrepancies.
• Maintain general ledger by transferring subsidiary account summaries.
• Balance general ledger by preparing a trial balance and reconciling entries.
• Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
• Manage the monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements, enforcing adherence to requirements, filing reports, and advising management on needed actions.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of new systems and procedures to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the accounting process.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3+ years of experience in an accounting role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Experience in preparing financial statements, business activity reports, financial position forecasts, annual budgets, and reports required by regulatory agencies.
• Strong analytical skills with an attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
• CPA certification is highly desirable.
