Job summary

Adecco Permanent Recruitment represents a growing manufacturing organization in the Greater Saginaw area in the search for an experienced Senior Accountant. This hands-on role emphasizes cost accounting, plant financial reporting, inventory, and general ledger work, with visibility across operations.

You will work closely with finance leadership and operations, supporting month-end close, budgeting, and audits, and driving process improvements within a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Cost accounting experience strongly preferred
• Manufacturing experience preferred
• Strong GAAP, general ledger, reconciliations, and financial reporting

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Support month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger activity
• Maintain and analyze job costing and manufacturing cost information
• Review inventory activity, costing, and cycle-count results
• Support plant-level financial reporting and analysis
• Assist with cash-flow and financial forecasting
• Review intercompany activity and balances
• Support annual budgeting and year-end audit requirements
• Partner with operations and finance leadership on reporting, analysis, and special projects
• Help maintain accurate financial controls and identify opportunities to improve accounting processes

Adecco Permanent Recruitment is representing a growing manufacturing organization in the Greater Saginaw area in the search for an experienced Senior Accountant.

This is a hands-on accounting position with a strong focus on cost accounting, plant financial reporting, inventory, and general ledger accounting. The Senior Accountant will work closely with finance leadership and operations and will have visibility across multiple areas of the business.

This could be a great opportunity for someone currently working as a Senior Accountant, Cost Accountant, Plant Accountant, or experienced Staff Accountant who is ready to take on broader responsibility within a manufacturing environment.

What You'll Be Doing

• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP


• Support month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger activity

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred


• Approximately 5+ years of progressive accounting experience


• Cost accounting experience strongly preferred


• Manufacturing experience preferred


• Strong understanding of GAAP, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting


• Analytical, organized, and comfortable working independently


• Ability to communicate effectively with both finance and operational teams


• Must be permanently authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
