Job summary

MAS HVAC, Inc is seeking a Senior Accountant in Maple Grove, MN to oversee general accounting, ensure data integrity, and support financial reporting.

You will manage GL, month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes, fixed assets, intercompany reconciliations, payroll entries, and audits while collaborating with teams to streamline processes and controls.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA (Contador Público Certificado) or equivalent preferred.
  • 4–7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP (or applicable accounting framework).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).

Responsibilities

  • Complete general ledger functions, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
  • Manage fixed assets, depreciation schedules, and related reporting.
  • Manage prepaid and accrual accounts.
  • Intercompany Payable/Receivable reconciliation across all entities.
  • Prepare payroll and payroll related journal entries.
  • Analyze financial results and investigate variances.
  • Support external audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and implement accounting best practices.
