Position Summary: The Senior Accountant will be responsible for the timely and accurate recording of equipment inventory costs. They will assist in the reconciling of inventory and inventory reserve balances. They will use accounting principles to ensure accuracy and maintain accurate records, as well as analyze sales and rental gross margins. They must also ensure adherence to inventory policies and procedures, and coordinate with internal departments to ensure accurate data. This position requires excellent organizational and analytical skills, as well as proficiency in excel and ERP systems. This position will report to the Machines Accounting Manager.

Position Responsibilities

• Record all inventory transactions in the ERP system
• Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions
• Reconcile inventory discrepancies
• Assist with physical inventories
• Create and maintain financial records and reports related to inventory and inventory related accounts
• Audit and adjust inventory figures
• Balance Sheet and P&L account reconciliation and analysis
• Journal entries
• Assist with month-end close
• Assist with yearend close
• Assist with annual financial statement audit
  
  

Position Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting and/or minimum three years of relevant accounting experience
• Excellent knowledge of accounting principles
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to critically analyze data and determine its validity
• Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and continuously improve
• Possession of strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience meeting strict deadlines while multi-tasking
• Talent for working with all levels of staff and management effectively
• Proficient in the use of advanced spreadsheet functions
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting software
• Highly detail-oriented and organized
• Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Must be able to climb stairs unaided
• Must pass a background check, employment physical and drug screen
