Job summary

A cutting-edge tech manufacturing company in Los Angeles is seeking a Senior Accountant with public accounting experience and a go-getter attitude to join a fast-growing team, building scalable financial processes.

You will prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and analyses across balance sheet accounts, support revenue and AR, and collaborate with cross-functional partners to improve data quality and controls.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • 3+ years of public accounting experience with a nationally recognized firm.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, including ASC 606 and ASC 842.
  • Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with large datasets.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced startup environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analyses, and supporting schedules across cash, investments, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, leases, capitalized software, debt, and other balance sheet accounts.
  • Perform monthly revenue, deferred revenue, and accounts receivable reconciliations, including cash application, contract balance review, and timely evaluation of contract modifications.
  • Support accounts payable activities, including invoice review, payment approvals, vendor reconciliations, and resolution of discrepancies.
  • Assist with technical accounting research and prepare workbooks for complex transactions in compliance with U.S. GAAP.
  • Partner with Supply Chain, Facilities, Engineering, and FP&A to improve financial accuracy and cross-functional processes.
  • Help develop scalable accounting policies, internal controls, and operating procedures.
  • Support external audit requests and identify opportunities to automate manual work and improve data quality.
