Job summary

BinMaster, a Lincoln, NE manufacturing company, seeks an accounting professional to apply analytical talents to accounting processes and to prepare financial information. You will manage AR, reconcile records, and support tax and audit activities as needed.

The role requires a BA in Accounting and 3–5 years of manufacturing accounting experience, with ERP systems familiarity. A collaborative, process-improvement mindset and strong communication are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from four-year college or university.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with ERP systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts receivable, collections, and credits processing.
• Reconcile AR records and related accounts.
• Reconcile sales tax and credits; review tax returns.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual GL closings.
• Prepare income statements and balance sheet analyses for management.
• Support internal and external audits and process improvements.
• Cross-train for other accounting roles.

WHAT WE WILL ASK YOU TO DO:

• Manage our Accounts Receivable including collections calls and resolution of issues as well as RMA/credits processing
• Maintain and reconcile accounts receivable related records
• Reconcile Sales Tax collected per ledger with Sales Tax Reported in external software
• Review and approve sales tax returns for states
• Reconcile sales tax credits and carryovers for all states
• Perform journal entries and complex ledger account reconciliations including identification and remediation of all issues in compliance with audit requirements
• Participate in the monthly, quarterly, and annual general ledger closing processes
• Assist with the preparation of income statement and balance sheet packages and related comprehensive analysis for variances and trends and communication of this information to management and external parties as needed
• Participate in the internal and external audit process
• Cross-train for other Accounting staff positions as needed
• Collaborate with teammates and initiate ideas with management to identify, design, and implement process improvements for greater efficiency and effectiveness
• Participate in other strategic accounting and business projects as they arise

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING TO THE TABLE:

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Accounting from four-year college or university
• 3 to 5 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Must demonstrate professionalism and the ability to problem solve
• Working knowledge and experience with ERP systems preferred
