Job summary

PrideStaff Financial is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant in Irving, TX, for a direct-hire role. You will support monthly close, financial reporting, and cross-functional accounting processes in a collaborative team.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field and 2+ years of progressive accounting experience, with advanced Excel skills. The role offers a hybrid schedule (four days onsite, one day remote) and broad exposure across accounting functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is required.
• 2+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience is required.
• Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and financial reporting is expected.
• Advanced Excel skills with VLOOKUPs and PivotTables are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review the general ledger and financial reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare invoices and allocation schedules for complex consolidated billings.
• Prepare and post routine and non-routine journal entries, including depreciation, amortization and accruals.
• Play an active role in the month-end close process.
• Research financial variances and anomalies and prepare correcting journal entries when needed.
• Partner with colleagues across the organization to answer financial questions and resolve accounting issues.
• Maintain accurate, organized and reliable financial records and processes.

What You'll Be Doing

As the Senior Staff Accountant, you will help ensure accurate and timely financial reporting while supporting the monthly close process. Your responsibilities will include:

• Reviewing the general ledger and financial reports for accuracy and completeness
• Preparing bank and balance sheet reconciliations
• Preparing invoices and allocation schedules for complex consolidated billings
• Preparing and posting routine and non-routine journal entries, including depreciation, amortization and accruals
• Playing an active role in the month-end close process
