Job description

Are you passionate about ensuring financial accuracy, driving compliance with accounting standards, and providing meaningful insights that support business decision-making?

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to play a key role in managing financial reporting, month-end close activities, account reconciliations, and financial analysis. This position requires strong knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP), exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate across multiple departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
General Ledger & Month-End Close
  • Prepare and record month-end journal entries in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Ensure all journal entries are supported by complete, accurate, and appropriate documentation.
  • Analyze financial transactions and validate the accuracy of account classifications and financial statement impacts.
  • Review accounting information, identify discrepancies, and perform necessary adjustments.
  • Support timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
Financial Analysis & Reporting
  • Perform variance analysis against budgets, forecasts, and historical trends.
  • Investigate financial fluctuations and prepare explanations for management review.
  • Evaluate financial results and provide meaningful insights to support decision‑making.
  • Develop estimates and accruals using historical trends, operational data, and financial analysis when necessary.
  • Support financial statement preparation and reporting activities.
Account Reconciliations & Compliance
  • Prepare and maintain monthly balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Investigate and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and applicable financial reporting standards.
  • Maintain audit‑ready documentation and support financial governance requirements.
  • Assist with external and internal audit requests, including providing supporting schedules and analyses.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with operational, finance, and accounting teams to obtain information required for financial reporting and analysis.
  • Respond to accounting‑related inquiries and provide support for assigned functional areas.
  • Work collaboratively to identify and resolve accounting issues while ensuring stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Build strong relationships across departments to support efficient financial processes.
Process Improvement & Special Projects
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and financial controls.
  • Research complex accounting transactions and determine appropriate accounting treatment.
  • Support system implementations, accounting projects, and financial transformation initiatives.
  • Assist with special analyses, ad hoc reporting requests, and strategic finance projects.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of accounting policies, procedures, and documentation standards.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent educational background.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP).
  • Experience preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial analyses.
  • Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and month‑end close processes.
  • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to interpret financial information and explain impacts to financial statements.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial/accounting systems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Healthcare, health system, or healthcare‑related accounting experience.
  • CPA certification or active pursuit of CPA licensure.
  • Experience supporting audits and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Familiarity with accrual‑based accounting, financial reporting, and balance sheet reconciliation processes.
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of operational finance and complex accounting transactions.
