Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• 5–7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong full-cycle accounting knowledge.
• Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Experience with multi-entity accounting and intercompany transactions.
• CPA, CPA candidate, or licensure progress is a plus.

Summary of Responsibilities

As our Senior Accountant, you'll take ownership of an assigned portfolio of clients and oversee their ongoing accounting needs.

This is not a data-entry position. We need someone who can look at the financials, recognize when something doesn't make sense, investigate the issue, and determine the appropriate solution.

You'll work across multiple companies and industries, manage month-end accounting and reporting, handle complex multi-entity situations, communicate directly with clients, and help us continually improve the way we work.

Essential Functions

• Manage the accounting needs of an assigned portfolio of clients.
• Perform month-end close and account reconciliations.
• Prepare and review accurate financial statements and reports.
• Manage accounting across multiple companies and entities.
• Handle intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
• Investigate discrepancies and determine appropriate accounting treatment.
• Communicate directly with clients regarding accounting questions and financial information.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen accounting processes and procedures.
• Help create more efficient workflows for both Devine and our clients.
• Manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities while maintaining accuracy.
• Collaborate with the broader accounting team and Director of Operations.
• Assist with new-client onboarding when needed.
• Leverage technology and emerging AI tools to improve efficiency and processes.

Education, Experience, and Skills Required

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• Approximately 5–7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong full-cycle accounting knowledge.
• Strong experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Experience with multi-entity accounting and intercompany transactions.
• Experience managing multiple companies, clients, or competing priorities.
• Comfortable communicating directly with clients.
• Strong general technology aptitude.
• Sage Intacct experience strongly preferred, or experience with a comparable higher-level accounting/ERP system.
• CPA, CPA candidate, or progress toward CPA licensure is a plus.

Compensation

• $80,000–$100,000 annual base salary, depending on experience.
