Job summary

Integrative Systems, a Chicago-based software development and back-office optimization firm, is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage month-end close, fixed assets, prepaids, JEs, audits and financial reporting. The role requires deep accounting knowledge, strong communication, and advanced Excel skills to ensure accurate financial statements and compliance with ASC 606.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of experience, a degree in accounting/finance (Masters preferred), and proficiency in MS

• Working knowledge of MS Office 365 - Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and OneDrive with advanced excel skills and experience with analysis tools.
• Experience with Billing Platform application a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead month end close process and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Record fixed assets and prepaids; maintain monthly reconciliations.
• Prepare revenue recognition JEs and related schedules.
• Perform bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist in year-end audits and accounting research.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Job description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Accountant for our organization. As a Senior Accountant, your primary responsibilities will be month end close, prepaids, fixed asset, Monthly JEs, audits, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have deep overall knowledge of accounting functions, strong communication and excel skills, detail orientated and problem-solving skills.

• Month end close process.
  • Record fixed assets, prepaids and maintain monthly reconciliations.
  • Prepare revenue recognition journal entries.
  • Bank Reconciliation Statement.
  • Maintain revenue schedules and monthly reconciliations.
  • Maintain revenue footnote and related disclosures.
  • Prepare supporting schedules for balance sheet accounts.
  • Calculate monthly accrual and post JEs.
  • Prepare supporting schedules for balance sheet accounts.
• Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures.
• Assisting in year-end audits and related accounting research.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulation.
• Cover overlapping U.S. CST hours (3:00am – 12:00pm).

Job Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience working as an Accountant.
• A Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, coupled with appropriate experience. Masters preferred.
• Working knowledge of MS Office 365 - Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and OneDrive with advanced excel skills and experience with analysis tools.
• Experience with Billing Platform application a plus.
