Job description

Addison Group has partnered with a growing publicly traded manufacturing company looking to add a Senior Accountant. This will be a very hands on role taking on a range of financial activities from day-to-day accounting to high-level strategic business decisions. It is a highly visible role that involves daily interaction with executives.

Responsibilities
  • Heavily involved in the month end close process with the preparation of recurring/ad-hoc journal entries, balance sheet adjustments, allocations, and reversals
  • Consolidate financials, prepare supplemental reporting packages
  • Ensure completion of all inventory and manufacturing controls
  • Understand and explain manufacturing variances in the monthly P&L
  • Support subsidiaries on accounting matters including but not limited to month end close activities, developing SOX controls
  • Reconcile and monitor high risk liability, intercompany and accrual accounts
  • Manage account reconciliation process, including tracking, publishing and distributing daily metrics throughout the reconciliation periods
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors, and work with stakeholders to ensure timely fulfillment of auditors’ data requests
  • Conduct variance analysis/commentary on financial statements and financial presentations
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
