Job summary

Qualifications

• Senior Accountant or similar role with hands-on accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of debits, credits and core accounting principles.
• Comfortable being hands-on in a startup or growing business.
• Experience in fashion, apparel, retail, e-commerce or consumer brands is highly desirable.
• Genuine interest in fashion and streetwear.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping.
• Manage general ledger, journal entries and reconciliations.
• Support AP, AR and expense management.
• Handle W-9s, vendor documentation and related accounting administration.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close.
• Maintain accurate financial records and reporting.
• Improve accounting processes and controls as the business scales.
• Work closely with founders and senior leadership on financial matters.

Job description

We are working with a growing streetwear and apparel business with a strong presence across the fashion industry, including pop-ups and activations around New York Fashion Week and Paris Fashion Week.

The business is a startup and is looking for a hands-on Senior Accountant who is comfortable owning the day-to-day numbers while helping build stronger financial processes as the company grows.

This is not a purely reporting-focused role. They want someone who is happy getting into the detail across debits and credits, bookkeeping, reconciliations, W-9s, AP/AR, expenses, month-end close and general ledger activity, while also being capable of taking on broader senior accounting responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in fashion, apparel, streetwear or consumer brands and enjoy working in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Own day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping
