Job summary

Kiwa America is seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant to join the accounting team supporting multiple businesses from Houston, TX. The role reports to the Controller and combines daily accounting operations, month-end close, and financial reporting in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

You will perform reconciliations, intercompany work, and ad hoc analysis, with a focus on process improvements and strong internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and month-end close.
• Experience preparing reconciliations and journal entries.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy.
• Perform account, bank, and intercompany reconciliations.
• Owns month-end and year-end close activities, including accruals, prepaids, and financial reporting.

PPI Quality & Engineering is partnering with Kiwa America is seeking a hands‑on Senior Accountant to be part of the accounting team supporting accounting across multiple businesses.

About the role

This role will primarily support NQA US, providing broad accounting support in partnership with the Controller. Responsibilities will include daily accounting operations, month‑end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, audit support, process improvements, and special projects. The ideal candidate is adaptable, resourceful, and comfortable working independently in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.

Schedule: Hybrid (3 days in office / 2 days remote)

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy.
• Perform account, bank, and intercompany reconciliations.
• Owns month‑end and year‑end close activities, including accruals, prepaids, and financial reporting.
• Analyze account variances and prepare supporting schedules.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc financial analysis.

• Support annual internal and external audits.

Do you have what it takes?

REQUIRED

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and month‑end close.
• Experience preparing reconciliations and journal entries.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.

PREFERRED

• CPA or CPA candidate.
• Experience supporting multiple entities ideally in a multinational setting.
• ERP experience (Microsoft Dynamics 365, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar).
• Experience working in manufacturing, professional services, or shared services environments.
• Experience supporting audits and internal controls.
