Senior Accountant | Accounting Advisory | CPA Firm | Horsham, Pennsylvania
Ever feel like you're doing the interesting bit of accounting for about 10% of your working week?
The other 90% seems to be preparing accounts, chasing information, meeting deadlines, and wondering where the day went.
Now, there's nothing wrong with that. It's part of the job.
But what if you could spend more time actually working with business owners, helping them make decisions and understand what's happening in their businesses?
That's why I like this opportunity.
I'm working with a growing accounting firm looking for a Senior Accountant to join its Accounting Advisory team.
You'll still be involved in financial statements, reporting, compilations and reviews, but there's a bigger emphasis on advising clients rather than just producing numbers for them.
Essentially, the sort of work where clients actually want to hear what you have to say.
A few things worth mentioning.
Summer Fridays, which I imagine you'll appreciate more than another firm telling you how great their culture is.
There's also room to develop, a growing advisory team, and the chance to get more involved
with clients rather than just producing their accounts.
What are they looking for?
Someone with 3+ years in public accounting or advisory, who understands US GAAP and knows their way around financial statements.
CPA? Great. No CPA? Still worth a conversation.
Ultimately, they want someone who's good with clients, knows their stuff, and enjoys the more
interesting side of accounting.
You might be perfectly happy where you are.
I'm not going to pretend this opportunity will change your life, because I haven't met you and I don't know what would make you leave your current firm.
But if you've ever wondered whether your accounting experience could be put to more interesting use, this is probably worth a conversation.
Applying isn't a commitment. It's just a way of finding out a little more.
And don't worry if you don't tick every box.
The worst that happens is we have a decent conversation. The best is that you discover a job you hadn't realised you were looking for.
