Job summary

Feeser's Food Distributors in Harrisburg, PA seeks a seasoned accounting professional to join our finance team. You will oversee ledgers, month-end close, and GAAP compliance while using Oracle Fusion and AI/RPA to streamline workflows and improve accuracy.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Accounting, 5+ years in accounting/audit, ERP experience, and CPA (preferred). You will partner with leaders across the business to drive reliable reporting and continuous process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems for GAAP compliance.
• Utilize Oracle Fusion to streamline reconciliations and journal entries
• Assist in month-end close and ensuring timely updates for changes
• Assist with AI and RPA to optimize processing cycles across key accounting areas
• Lead fixed asset process including depreciation calculations and reconciliations
• Support tax planning for Feeser's entities
• Administer vendor rebate management and related reporting

We're investing in new AI and RPA capabilities that will streamline processes and allow a technology-focused Accountant to drive change across the business.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage andmonitorall accounts, ledgers and reporting systems ensuring compliance withappropriate GAAPstandards and regulatory requirements. UtilizaOracle Fusion to streamline reconciliations and journal entries

• Assistin managing the month end close checklist including ensuring all activities are completedtimelyand routine updates are reflected for new activities or changes to existing activities

• Utilize Oracle Fusion assisted with AI and RPA to optimize processing cycles across all key Accounting. Assist in implementing imaging for Accounts Payable, Account Reconciliations and Master Data Management modules.

• Along with theAccounting Manager,assistwith the enforcement of internal controlsin order tomaximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflows

• Leadthe fixed asset process by recording acquisitions and disposals,maintainingasset records, calculating depreciation, reconciling the fixed asset subledger to the general ledger, and ensuring compliance with company accounting policies.

• Maintainsjournal entry closing checklist and endure required documentation exists to support all journal entries, calculations, and account reconciliations

• Assistin tax planning for all Feeser’s entities incorporating any changes to existing tax regulations and Company operations/projects

• Administer customer rebate programs, including calculating monthly, quarterly, and annual rebates, reconciling balances, and preparing supporting reports. Coordinate with the sales team to ensure compliance with rebateagreements andtimelypayment processing.

• Act as the lead back-up tovendorrebate management,billingand accounting

• Direct interactions with external accountant, consultants and legal to assist in the preparation and coordination of the external compilation process

• Conduct training within the organization to upskill workforce on key accounting and financial matters and metrics most relevant to eachdepartmentsresponsibilities

• Stayup-to-dateon latestAccountingpronouncements anddisseminateto relevant Company personnel

• Conductsstudies andsubmitsrecommendations for improving the organization’s accounting processes and procedures

• Performs other duties as assigned byAccounting Manager, which may include lease administration, inventory cost analysis, administration of capital approval process, and G/L account setup and maintenance

SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Commitment andpracticeshigh levelof ethical and confidentiality standards, professionalism, and communication for long-term success.

• Knowledgeable of GAAP and other relevant accounting standards and regulations

• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel including advancedproficiencyin Excel, including the use of pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros, and data analysis tools

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to present financial data clearly and concisely

• CPA license or actively pursuing licensure (preferred)
