Job summary

Parable Talent is partnering with a growing organization in the Triad to identify an experienced Senior Accountant. You will own the general ledger for multiple entities, prepare analyses and reconciliations, and partner with leadership to support strategic initiatives.

You will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, improving processes, and supporting audits. This role emphasizes collaboration, professional development, and long-term career growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Manufacturing, distribution, construction, or related industry experience is preferred.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting best practices.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
• Experience with ERP systems such as QuickBooks Online or Great Plains/Microsoft Dynamics is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects while meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the general ledger for multiple entities.
• Prepare monthly journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Perform bank reconciliations and support treasury reporting.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company accounting policies.
• Partner with leaders across the organization to provide financial analysis and recommendations.
• Assist with annual audits by preparing schedules and supporting documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and operational efficiencies.
