The ideal candidate has construction accounting experience, job costing expertise, and hands-on QuickBooks proficiency. Expect involvement in payroll, billing, month-end close, and financial statements.

• Construction industry accounting experience required.
• Strong experience with job costing and project accounting.
• Experience handling complex/project-based billing.
• Full-cycle accounting experience including AP, AR, GL, reconciliations, month-end close, and financial statement prep.
• Hands-on payroll processing experience.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to independently manage multiple accounting responsibilities.
• Ability to work onsite 5 days per week in Gaithersburg, MD.

Cherry Bekaert Recruiting is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join a growing organization in the construction industry. This is a hands-on, individual contributor position responsible for managing the full accounting cycle and supporting the financial operations of the business.

The ideal candidate will have construction accounting experience, strong job and project accounting knowledge, and hands-on QuickBooks experience. This position will oversee accounting activities ranging from AP and AR through month-end close and financial statement preparation, while also managing payroll processing and complex project billing.

Responsibilities
