Job summary

Pegasus Staffing Partners partnered with a growing industrial services organization in Fort Worth to recruit a Senior Accountant. The role is primarily onsite, four days per week, enabling close collaboration with operations, finance leadership, and cross-functional teams.

You will own full-cycle accounting, including GL maintenance, journal entries, and month-end close, with emphasis on GAAP compliance and accurate reporting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive general accounting experience.
• Hands-on SAP experience in an accounting/finance capacity.
• Proven ownership of full-cycle accounting, including P&L and Balance Sheet activities.
• Strong Excel skills and comfort with system-driven environments.

Responsibilities

• Full-cycle accounting, including maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts.
• Preparation and posting of journal entries (accruals, prepaids, adjustments, etc.).
• Month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities with reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Preparation and support of full P&L and Balance Sheet reporting and related schedules.
• Ensuring GAAP compliance and internal accounting policies.
• Support for internal and external audits with documentation and explanations.
• Partner with operations to ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.
• Assist with inventory and fixed asset accounting (tracking, valuation, acquisitions/disposals).

What you’ll be responsible for

• Full-cycle accounting, including maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts
• Preparation and posting of journal entries (accruals, prepaids, adjustments, etc.)
• Month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including account reconciliations and variance analysis
• Preparation and support of full P&L and Balance Sheet reporting and related schedules
• Ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
• Supporting internal and external audit requests with accurate documentation and explanations
• Partnering with operations and other departments to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
• Assisting with inventory and fixed asset accounting (tracking, valuation, acquisitions/disposals)
