Job summary

GHJ Search and Staffing, the recruitment division of GHJ, seeks a Senior Accountant for its Flowery Branch, GA, onsite accounting team. You will own month-end close, financial reporting, and general ledger activities while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and GAAP adherence.

The role requires 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, strong Excel and ERP skills, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• CPA or CPA-track preferred but not required.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger activity
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
• Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules for management review
• Analyze financial results and investigate account variances
• Maintain compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis as needed
• Support internal and external audit requests by preparing documentation and schedules
• Monitor and improve internal controls and accounting procedures
• Partner with cross-functional teams to support operational and financial initiatives
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiencies
• Assist with special projects and other accounting responsibilities as assigned
