Job summary

GHJ is seeking a Staff Accountant for its Flowery Branch accounting team. This onsite role handles month-end close, financial reporting, and general ledger duties in a collaborative environment.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and at least 2 years of progressive accounting experience, ensuring accuracy and adherence to GAAP across financial statements and analyses.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger activity.
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules for management review.
• Analyze financial results and investigate account variances.
• Maintain compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis as needed.
• Support internal and external audit requests by preparing documentation and schedules.
• Monitor and improve internal controls and accounting procedures.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to support operational and financial initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiencies.
• Assist with special projects and other accounting responsibilities as assigned.
