Insight Global is seeking an experienced Accountant to support Accounts Receivable and General Accounting for a top 3PL logistics client. The role involves managing cash receipts, posting journal entries, and month-end close tasks, with strong emphasis on reconciliations and reporting.

You will operate in a hybrid environment, onsite in Elwood, IL 2–3 days per week, collaborating across teams and ensuring data integrity.

Qualifications

Insight Global is seeking an Accountant for a top 3PL Logistics, Warehousing, Fulfillment, and Distribution client. This candidate will play a critical role in supporting both Accounts Receivable and General Accounting functions while helping maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial data. The ideal candidate will have experience with NetSuite, month-end close activities, account reconciliations, and customer account management. This role will be hybrid and require you to be onsite in Elwood, IL 2-3 days per week.

Day-to-Day:

• Manage all Accounts Receivable and Cash Management activities
• Apply and post daily customer cash receipts and remittances
• Investigate and resolve unapplied cash and payment discrepancies
• Monitor customer accounts and conduct collections activities
• Communicate with customers on balances, payment status, and statements
• Generate and review AR aging reports
• Maintain accurate customer account records and reconciliations
• Assist with billing support and customer account inquiries
• Prepare and post journal entries
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and perform bank reconciliations
• Support month-end and year-end close processes
• Prepare financial reports and supporting schedules
• Analyze account variances and research discrepancies
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations
• Support external audit requests and documentation requirements
• Assist the accounting team with additional responsibilities as business needs arise

Skills and Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including recent experience operating at the Accountant/Senior Accountant level in a corporate accounting environment.

NetSuite experience within general ledger, month-end close, reconciliations and/or financial reporting processes.

Experience with both Accounts Receivable and General Ledger accounting

Strong understanding of accounting principles and account reconciliations

Demonstrated ownership of month-end close activities, including journal entries, complex account reconciliations, GL management, accruals, and financial reporting.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Ability to independently manage complex accounting responsibilities and research/resolve accounting discrepancies with limited oversight.

Self-starter with strong ownership mentality and follow-through

Comfortable working onsite 2-3x per weekPrior 3PL, logistics, warehousing, distribution, or supply chain industry experience

Experience supporting external audits

Experience with financial analysis and variance commentary

Willingness to support broader accounting functions as business needs shift
