This role supports core accounting functions and financial close activities, maintains accurate financial records, and ensures compliance with GAAP. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, and 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, with strong Excel skills. • Partner with operations, inventory, and supply chain teams on accounting matters.
• Support inventory accounting, including reconciliations, adjustments, and reserve analysis.
• Assist with internal and external audit requests by preparing documentation and schedules.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency.
• Support ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as requested.
• Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned.

Our client, a well-established organization in the distribution industry, is seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support core accounting functions and financial close activities. This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting operational accounting needs, and ensuring compliance with GAAP in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries and maintain supporting schedules
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances
• Support month-end and year-end close processes in accordance with established timelines
