Brown & Brown, Inc. in Daytona Beach, FL is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our growing team. The role focuses on operational, transactional, and technical accounting aligned with established policies and quality controls at both corporate and industry levels.

The candidate will complete monthly journal entries, assist with month-end close in Agency and ERP systems, reconcile accounts, and produce close reports while meeting deadlines and maintaining proper documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• 3–5 years of full cycle GL accounting experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Teams, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Complete monthly journal entries.
• Assist with full cycle month end close functions in Agency and ERP systems.
• Reconcile balance sheet and other accounts monthly and as needed.
• Run monthly close reporting.
• Meet strict deadlines.
• Ensure all support for transactions is processed and filed accurately and timely.
• Assist in preparation of documents as required by established controls.
• Maintain fixed asset roster.
• Review and approve accuracy of supplier invoices.
• Assist with the calculation of ASC 606 monthly and quarterly entries.

The Senior Accountant will perform operational, transactional, and technical accounting activities in accordance with established policies, procedures, and objectives. Responsible for adherence to quality control standards - both corporate and industry directed.

How You Will Contribute:

Skills & Experience to Be Successful:

• Preferred Insurance industry experience
