Job summary

Goodwin Recruiting is seeking a Senior Accountant to support a diverse portfolio of companies in Missouri. You will maintain GL, handle reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting while ensuring GAAP compliance and strong internal controls.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree, 3+ years of accounting experience (public exp preferred), and CPA is a plus. This full-time role offers comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities within a dynamic team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred for candidates.
• Minimum 3 years of progressive accounting experience; public accounting preferred.
• CPA designation highly preferred.
• Proven ability to manage complex reconciliations and projects independently.
• Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Solid grasp of GAAP principles.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate general ledger across multiple companies and manage payables/receivables.
• Perform reconciliations for P&L, balance sheet, bank accounts, and fixed assets.
• Execute month-end close procedures and support audits and financial reporting.
• Prepare various financial reports and analyses to support strategic decisions.
• Lead complex problem-solving, oversee integrations and acquisitions, strengthen internal controls, and provide guidance to the accounting team.
