Century Group is partnering with a client seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. The role includes leading month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting to ensure accurate results.

The candidate will oversee the general ledger, journal entries, and schedules, while supporting project accounting, fixed assets, lease accounting, and vendor relations. Strong GAAP knowledge and Excel/ERP proficiency are required.

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $80,000 to $120,000 per year.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead month end close activities, account reconciliations, and financial reporting processes to ensure accurate and timely financial results.
• Oversee general ledger accounting, journal entries, and supporting schedules while maintaining the integrity of financial records.
• Manage accounts payable activities, vendor relationships, payment processing, and related accounting functions.
• Support project accounting, fixed asset tracking, lease accounting, and other operational accounting responsibilities.
• Identify accounting process improvements, implement efficiencies, and collaborate with cross functional teams to support business objectives.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Previous experience in senior level accounting roles with responsibility for financial reporting, close processes, and account reconciliations.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, general ledger accounting, financial statement preparation, and operational accounting practices.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ERP systems, and financial reporting applications.
• Prior experience managing accounting workflows, reviewing financial data, and supporting team development initiatives.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within construction, equipment, project-based, industrial, or other asset-intensive industries.
• Strong background in fixed asset accounting, project costing, lease accounting, and financial analysis.
• Proven ability to drive process improvements, support system implementations, and enhance accounting efficiencies.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities with the capability to collaborate effectively across departments and management levels.
